The Sony WH-1000XM5 price keeps going up and down like a bouncing ball, but right now, we’re glad to report the industry-favorite headphones are back on sale for $328, saving you $71.99.

Competitors come and go, but none have been able to take the throne from the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones in our list of the best headphones. These excel in all departments, and we commonly mention they are the best for most people. They are also quite pricey, though, so these deals are a nice treat for anyone looking for high-end cans.
Also, this isn’t the cheapest we’ve seen the WH-1000XM5 go for. The all-time low is still $278, but that deal was short-lived, and was part of the holiday sales. The $328 price has been the best around since January.
If you get these, you’ll enjoy excellent sound quality and an impressive ANC performance. They are among the best the industry has to offer. You’ll also get plenty of additional features. These include Bluetooth Multipoint, touch gestures, Find My Device support, auto-pausing when you remove the headphones, and more.
Of course, these don’t look or feel cheap at all, either. The clean and minimalist design is really nice. They are also very well-built and comfortable. The cups are pretty large, fitting pretty much any ear size, and the cushiony pads make it easy to wear them for long listening sessions.
One of the most impressive things about the Sony WH-1000XM5 is the battery life. These can last a long time! Of course, we ran them through our standardized tests, and they managed to last over 31 hours with ANC enabled. That is great, but it’s not what impressed us really. When we disabled ANC, we managed to get a whopping 53 hours per full charge!
We’re not sure how long this deal will last, but we know these discounts haven’t lasted long lately. If you’re thinking of getting the best headphones around, take advantage of this deal while you can.
Extra deal: If you want the best ANC
The Sony WH-1000XM5 may be our favorite headphones for most people, but that doesn’t mean they are the very best in every department. We know many of you value noise canceling, and if that’s a priority for you, nothing will beat the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones.
These are our top choice in our list of the best noise canceling headphones, and the ANC performance is truly amazing. Our internal tests prove these can reduce external noise by 87%. They can silence very loud noises, such as bus engines, airplane whines, and train screeches.
The only trick here is that not all color versions of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra are on sale. You will have to settle with the Lunar Blue version if you want to save $80. Not that it’s a bad thing; I actually love this color. You won’t have options, though.
Of course, ANC is not the only thing these do well. The audio quality is also pretty impressive, and the passthrough mode is outstanding. Battery life isn’t as remarkable, but they can still last 27 hours per charge, which is pretty good. Other features include Bluetooth Multipoint, Snapdragon Sound, aptX Lossless support, gesture controls, spatial audio, and more. These are outstanding headphones, too.
