Designed for a range of users, from content creators to journalists, the system aims to deliver professional-grade audio quality in a portable form.

The MoveMic series encompasses two main configurations: the single-channel MoveMic One and the dual-channel MoveMic Two. An optional MoveMic Receiver complements these microphones for extended compatibility with various devices, including cameras and computers. The microphones boast a lightweight design, weighing just 8.2g, and are engineered for discreet usage with a minimal visual profile.

Shure’s MoveMic system promises up to 24 hours of recording per charge, facilitated by a charging case that provides two additional charges. It features an IPX4 rating for resistance against water splashes, making it suitable for outdoor use. The proprietary technology and custom acoustic design within the MoveMic aim to ensure high-fidelity voice recordings with minimal background noise.

The MoveMic system is available for purchase through Shure’s website and selected retailers, with pricing set at $249 for MoveMic One, $349 for MoveMic Two, and $499 for the MoveMic Two Receiver Kit. Accessories, including magnet lavalier mounts and white windscreens, are expected to be released in spring 2024.

In a notable application of the MoveMic system, Shure has partnered with the Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages, showcasing the microphone’s capability to support the preservation of endangered languages in remote regions globally. This partnership aims to underscore MoveMic’s utility in demanding fieldwork, highlighting its potential beyond typical content creation scenarios.
