- For athletes, the new MOMENTUM Sport earbuds feature real-time biometric feedback.
Sennheiser is amplifying its game at CES 2024 by announcing a trio of new consumer audio products. With updates to the MOMENTUM true wireless earbuds and ACCENTUM wireless headphones, and an entirely new MOMENTUM Sport line, Sennheiser is hoping to connect with everyone from athletes to audiophiles.
MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 earbuds
We recommended the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 earbuds for their great sound and ANC. Today, Sennheiser is announcing its successor, the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4. These earbuds bring the latest and greatest connectivity technology, including Bluetooth 5.4 with support for Auracast. The connectivity tech is built on the Qualcomm S5 Sound Gen 2 platform, with Snapdragon Sound for aptX lossless and ultra-low latency support.
Beyond connectivity improvements, the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 promises improved ANC, a new sound, and a longer battery life. The earbuds will be available in Black Copper, Metallic Silver, and Graphite color options. You can pre-order the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 starting on February 15 for $299.95.
ACCENTUM Plus
The new Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus headphones bring some premium upgrades to the existing ACCENTUM Wireless headphones. The main improvement comes in the form of touch controls, which is a much-needed improvement from the tiny physical buttons on the older ACCENTUM Wireless. Other new features include Bluetooth Multipoint support, wind-reduction, and adjustable side tone. There is also ANC that adapts to the level of noise around you, and an audio cable is included for wired listening. Altogether, these features make the ACCENTUM Plus a worthy upgrade over the ACCENTUM Wireless for power users and professionals.
You can pre-order the ACCENTUM Plus starting on February 20 for $229.95. It will be available in either White or Black color options.
MOMENTUM Sport
With the MOMENTUM Sport, Sennheiser has unveiled a new line of earbuds with biometric feedback for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. The earbuds feature a photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate sensor and a body temperature sensor. These sensors can output real-time data to fitness apps like Apple Health, Garmin Connect, Strava, Peloton, and more. This is also the first non-Polar product to integrate into the Polar Flow app ecosystem for biometric tracking.
Designed for runners, the MOMENTUM Sport also features an acoustic relief channel to minimize footstep noise, breathing, and other body-borne noise. A semi-open design and adjustable Transparency mode ensure you stay aware of your surroundings when jogging on busy city streets. On the other hand, the Anti-wind mode and Adaptive Noise Canceling mode work to block out distractions. The earbuds are IP55 water and sweat-resistant, while the charging case is IP54 rated.
Color options for the MOMENTUM Sport include Polar Black, Burned Olive, and Metallic Graphite. The earbuds will be available on April 9 for $329.95.
