- The new budget Galaxy Buds look set to be called the “Galaxy Buds Core”.
It’s been nearly two years since the release of the wallet-friendly Samsung Galaxy Buds FE. While we praised those earbuds for their great features at an affordable price, the wireless earbud market moves quickly. New entrants such as the EarFun Air Pro 4 and Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro have since overtaken the Galaxy Buds FE on our list of the best earbuds under $100. A new leak shows that Samsung might be back in the ring very soon.
According to a new FCC filing spotted by X leaker @DalgieshGX and reported by SammyGuru, the Galaxy Buds FE 2 are coming soon, but are likely to have a new name – the Galaxy Buds Core. The FCC Filing shows that the official model name is SM-R410, but that the marketing name is set as Galaxy Buds Core. The filing was submitted back on January 9, 2025, so it’s likely we will see these earbuds launch soon.
