OnePlus Buds 3 design and specs revealed in new leak
- Renders of the upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 have leaked along with some of the specs.
- It appears the OnePlus Buds 3 might have about the same amount of battery life as the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.
- The OnePlus Buds 3 may be slightly lighter than the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.
The last time OnePlus launched TWS earbuds was in February this year with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. While it probably won’t launch more earbuds before the end of 2023, it is working on a new pair. And we may have just gotten our first look at the upcoming audio device.
A new leak from MySmartPrice and tipster OnLeaks claims OnePlus is working on new earbuds called the OnePlus Buds 3. The outlet managed to get their hands on renders of the Buds 3 and some of its specs. However, they do point out that the renders are based on the testing stage unit phase.
According to the leak, the Buds 3 will weigh 4.77 grams each, making them slightly lighter than the Buds Pro 2. These earbuds may feature a 10.4mm woofer and 6mm tweeter. Along with that, you can expect 48dB of active noise cancellation (ANC), an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, and IPX4 for the case.
We also have some information regarding connectivity features. These earbuds may come with Bluetooth v5.3, Google Fast pair, and dual connection support.
As for the battery, the earbuds might each have a 58mAh battery sitting inside it, while the case could have a 520mAh battery. It’s said the earbuds will last for nine hours with ANC turned off, six hours with ANC turned on. While the case will extend that time to 33 hours, 22 hours with ANC on. It’s not exactly the same, but this is close to what you get with the Buds Pro 2. Additionally, you’ll reportedly get up to five hours of playback after a 10-minute charge.
The leak didn’t have any information on a release date. But an earlier rumor suggests the earbuds could roll out in January 2024.
