At NAMM 2025, Akai Professional and Native Instruments announced an exciting collaboration that brings Native Instruments’ powerful software and sound libraries to Akai’s iconic MPC platform. This integration marks a new era for music producers, blending the legendary MPC hardware workflow with Native Instruments’ expansive tools, including the Play Series instruments and genre-specific expansions tailored for MPC users. The collaboration also extends Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) compatibility to Akai’s MPK keyboard controllers, giving artists seamless control over plugins like Kontakt and Komplete. MPK owners will also receive Komplete 15 Select, a premium software bundle valued at over $1,000.
