- JBL has revealed three new PartyBox models launching June 2025: the 520 ($799), Encore 2 ($399), and Encore Essential 2 ($299)
- New features across the lineup include AI Sound Boost and Auracast multi-speaker connectivity
- The flagship PartyBox 520 boosts power to 400W and adds XLR/USB-C connectivity
JBL is refreshing its party speaker lineup with three new models focused on improved connectivity and sound optimization. The PartyBox 520, Encore 2, and Encore Essential 2 will hit stores in June 2025, with prices ranging from $299 to $799.
The flagship PartyBox 520 leads the pack with 400W of output power and improved audio connectivity. Building on features from last year’s PartyBox Stage 320, the 520 adds XLR inputs and USB-C connectivity while maintaining the proven replaceable battery system and IPX4 water resistance. A 10-minute quick charge should provide two hours of playtime, with total battery life rated at 15 hours.
The mid-tier PartyBox Encore 2 ($399) comes equipped with built-in wireless microphones and a 100W output. Meanwhile, the PartyBox Encore Essential 2 ($299) offers similar core features but trades the wireless mics for a built-in guitar input.
All three models introduce AI Sound Boost technology that analyzes and optimizes audio in real-time. They also support Auracast for connecting multiple compatible JBL speakers. The lineup also benefits from Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio for improved streaming quality and lower latency.
JBL is also touting its new PartyBox mobile app, which should provide more control over the light shows and audio settings. Still, the significant price jump to $799 for the 520 model may give some buyers pause. The speakers will be available starting June 2025.
