Jabra announces key updates to Elite 8 Active and Elite 10 earbuds
- Jabra announced updates to its Elite 8 Active and Elite 10 earbuds at CES 2024, including new noise suppression algorithms and features for enhanced audio clarity and user interaction.
- The updates will roll out in two phases, starting in January 2024, with improvements in Active Noise Cancellation, HearThrough, and call clarity, especially in windy and noisy environments.
At CES 2024, Jabra unveiled a suite of updates for its latest wireless earbuds, the Elite 8 Active and Elite 10. These focus on improving the audio experience with new noise suppression algorithms, offering users clearer calls, better awareness of surroundings, and a more natural audio experience. The Elite 8 Active are some of the best workout earbuds we’ve tested, with stellar sound quality. We also found the Elite 10 highly durable and packed with features.
Accessible via an over-the-air update through the Sound+ app, the updates will be available in two waves. Starting January 2024, users can expect a toggle for Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), HearThrough, and Sidetone features, new voice tone prompts, and customization options for device names. By March, the Elite 10 will see optimizations for call clarity in noisy environments, thanks to advanced noise suppression algorithms designed to diminish background voices. The Elite 8 Active will also receive improvements to be more effective in windy conditions. Moreover, the updates will be available to all new and existing users at no additional cost.
Ehtisham Rabbani, Head of Consumer Products, emphasized Jabra’s commitment to improving user experiences based on market feedback. We always like to see when companies are dedicated not just to releasing new products but also continuously improving existing ones, ensuring people always have access to the latest advancements in audio technology.
