How to unblock someone on the Spotify Android app

Here’s how to unblock someone on Spotify using the Android app:

  1. Open Spotify and tap your profile icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. Select Settings and privacy from the list.
  3. Go to Privacy and social.
  • Select Blocked users. You’ll see a list of everyone you’ve blocked.

    The iPhone process is very similar to Android. Here’s how to unblock someone on Spotify using the iOs app:

    1. Launch Spotify.
    2. Tap your profile icon in the top-left corner of the display.
    3. Tap Settings and privacy.
    4. Select Privacy and social.
    5. Go to Blocked.
    6. Tap Unblock next to the profile you want to unblock and select Yes.

    2. Click the Search icon on the left sidebar and enter the name of the profile you want to unblock.

    4. Click on the three-dot icon under the profile header.
    5. Select Unblock from the drop-down menu.

    There are some downsides to unblocking an account on a PC. The desktop app doesn’t list your blocked accounts, so you need to search for the user’s profile. This can be a problem if you don’t remember the name. Even if you remember it, it may not appear in the search function if the person blocked your account too.

    How to unblock artists on Spotify

    You can’t block Spotify artists but can prevent the service from playing their tracks. If you did this, follow these steps to allow the artist’s tracks again on Android or iOS:

    1. Open the Spotify app.
    2. Find the artist’s profile in the Your Library tab or using the Search function.
    3. Tap on the three-dot icon under the account header.
    4. Select Allow to play this Artist.

    You can only block or unblock an artist’s track on the Spotify Android or iOS apps. The feature is not available on the desktop software.

    Blocking someone on Spotify prevents them from seeing your profile, following you, or viewing your listening activity or private playlists. If they previously followed you, they’ll be removed from your followers list. Simply put, your account disappears completely from their radar.

    Note that they won’t receive a notification that you’ve blocked them. However, you can still see their profile unless they block you too.

    You can’t block an artist on Spotify. However, you can stop the app from playing their tracks. You’ll still be able to see their profile, but the algorithm won’t recommend the artist or any of their songs anymore. You also can’t play them manually.
