How to pair two JBL Flip 6 speakers in stereo mode
If you’ve ever desired more from your JBL Flip 6, or perhaps you and your bestie are so much alike they also own a Flip 6, pairing two of these popular portable speakers in stereo mode is something everyone should experience. Let’s face it: music isn’t meant to be heard by a single, mono speaker.
Your favorite tunes will be heard with much better detail and instrument separation, not to mention providing much more room-rilling power for you and your guests when you’re entertaining. Below is a breakdown of how to pair a second JBL Flip 6 in stereo mode.
- Turn on both Flip 6 speakers.
- Connect your device to one Flip 6 only.
- Hit play and get your tunes going. JBL recommends playing at least 20 seconds of music before continuing the process.
- Open the JBL Portable app on your device.
- The JBL Portable app will detect the speaker currently playing music
- Once the speaker is detected, give the Connect/Partyboost button on both speakers a press simultaneously.
- The app will pick up both speakers.
- Click the Partyboost button again; in the app, you will see the option for Party or Stereo. Select Stereo. (Party will result in paired mono playback)
It’s worth noting that Stereo playback can only be achieved with two identical speakers from the same generation. That means you won’t be able to enable stereo mode with a Flip 5 and a Flip 6. That said, you can connect them via Party Mode and use both speakers at the same time, but they will both provide mono playback.
There you have it. Follow these simple steps to pair two JBL Flip 6 units in stereo mode and enjoy the left and right separation. Happy Listening!
