How to factory reset the Powerbeats Pro 2

If for some reason the Powerbeats Pro 2 don’t automatically pair with your phone, or one of the earbuds isn’t working, here’s how to factory reset the Powerbeats Pro 2:

  1. With both earbuds in the case, press and hold the system button on the inside of the case for 15 seconds.
  2. When the lights on the front of the case flash red and white, release the button. There will be a chime 5 seconds in, you can ignore this.
  3.  After the light flashes red and white, the chime will start again. This indicates that the Powerbeats Pro 2 are ready to pair.

How to pair your Powerbeats Pro 2 manually

If the automatic pairing doesn’t appear automatically, you’ll have to go into pairing mode on the Powerbeats Pro 2. To manually pair the Powerbeats to your phone:

  1. Open the lid with your earbuds seated in the case, and hold near your unlocked phone.
  2. Press and hold the system button for 5 seconds until you hear a chime.
  3. The Powerbeats Pro 2 should show up for automatic pairing, or find the Powerbeats Pro 2 in the list of available Bluetooth devices.

How to connect the heartbeat sensor of the Powerbeats Pro 2 with your workout app

If you’re having issues with the new Heartbeat sensor on the Powerbeats Pro 2, you can try these steps. First, ensure that the sensor and your ear are clean. Next, make sure you have a proper fit. If the sensor data doesn’t show up in your third-party workout application:

  1. Open up the iOS Health app.
  2. Move to the sharing tab on the bottom of the menu.
  3. Enable your workout app.

How to change the microphone settings for the Powerbeats Pro 2

If the microphone isn’t working on your Powerbeats Pro 2, you can try the following steps.

On Android:

  1. Open the Beats app and scroll down to the microphone section.
  2. Tap on automatic and select the Always left bud, use your preferred app for recording to test.
  3. If it still doesn’t work, repeat steps 1 and 2 with the always right bud option selected instead.

On iOS:

How to use “Share Audio” with the Powerbeats Pro 2

To be able to use “Share Audio” you will have to be on iOS and paired to a share audio compatible Beats devices or any AirPods:

  1. Open the now playing screen in your device control center and tap on the playback destination button.
  2. Tap the share audio setting, open your friend’s AirPods or Beats product (you may have to enter pairing mode).
  3. Select the AirPods you want to “Share Audio” with, and follow the on-screen instructions.

How to find the serial number on your Powerbeats Pro 2

If you’re able to connect the Powerbeats Pro 2, you can still find the serial number by checking the Powerbeats Pro 2 in the settings app on iPhone, or on Android it’s located at the bottom of the Beats app.

Otherwise, it’s also in the inside of the charging case. At the top of the lid, barely visible, at the end section of the text.
