Bowers & Wilkins has introduced three new models to its 700 series loudspeakers, incorporating updates intended to improve sound quality for both music and cinematic experiences. This includes the floor-standing 702 S3 Signature, the compact 705 S3 Signature, and the HTM71 S3 Signature center speaker, which aims to complement the 702 and 705 models, offering a unified sound profile for home theater setups.
Upgrades across the models include a new Carbon Dome tweeter, now featuring a protective grille that should allow for greater openness, and a decoupled Continuum Cone FST midrange drive unit designed to reduce sound coloration. The 702 S3 Signature, for instance, is equipped with three Aerofoil Profile bass drivers that have been updated to possibly improve bass clarity. Additionally, the models share improved crossovers and speaker terminals, which are suggested to enhance transparency and signal flow into the speaker.
The new models also come with a new makeover, available in Midnight Blue Metallic and Datuk Gloss finishes. The introduction of the HTM71 S3 Signature
