TL;DR
  • Beyerdynamic has announced its first open-ear earbuds, the VERIO 200.
  • They come with premium features such as Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX Adaptive support, IP54 water and dust resistance, and an app with a five-band equalizer.
  • The earbuds are available starting today for $219.99 at Beyerdynamic’s website and on Amazon.

Beyerdynamic, the company best known for making premium over-ear headphones such as the Beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X, is making a move into the open-ear market. The new Beyerdynamic VERIO 200 open-ear earbuds deliver premium features to compete with the likes of the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds. The list of specs includes custom-designed 16.22mm neodymium drivers that promise to deliver excellent bass, which is something most open-ear designs struggle with. You will also be able to customize the sound to your liking using a five-band equalizer inside the new Beyerdynamic app.

The earbuds should hold a stable connection during workouts thanks to their Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX Adaptive. They are also IP54 water and dust-resistant so you don’t have to worry about taking them out for runs in the rain. For taking calls on the go, the earbuds have aptX Voice technology with background noise reduction. With up to 35 hours of total promised playback time, the earbuds and charging case have enough juice to survive any adventure.

The Beyerdynamic VERIO 200 are available starting today for $219.99. Make sure to stay tuned for our upcoming review of the Beyerdynamic VERIO 200 where we’ll find out if these really are the ultimate open-ear earbuds.
