The Lightning version of the Apple AirPods Max are very commonly discounted, but those of us transitioning to USB-C aren’t as lucky. Deals have been showing up from time to time lately, though. Today, you can get the Apple AirPods Max USB-C for $69.01 off, bringing the total price down to $479.99.
This offer is available from Amazon. This discount also applies to all color versions available: Midnight, Blue, Orange, Purple, and Starlight.
This isn’t actually the cheapest we’ve seen the Apple AirPods Max USB-C go for. Last month, these went down to $449.99. That said, we don’t see that discount level coming back soon, and at $479.99, this is still a good deal. If you’re ready to ditch Lightning cables, this is a good chance to do so.
The Apple AirPods Max are excellent headphones, and on our list of the best headphones we recommend these as the top option for Apple users. That’s whether you get the Lightning or USB-C model. These versions are pretty much the same, save for the charging port and some color version variations.
These come with that clean, metallic design we all know and love. The headphones look great, and they are also very comfortable, thanks to the quality earpads and band.
The audio quality is nothing to scoff at, and these compete against the best in the industry in this department. The AirPods Max also have impressive ANC performance. Not to mention, these are high-end headphones with a very nice portfolio of features, though some of them will only work on Apple devices. These exclusive capabilities include auto-pausing, certain gestures, automatic device switching, and, obviously, Siri support.
We also found battery life to be pretty nice at about 21 hours, based on our standardized tests. This is actually better than Apple’s 20-hour estimates.
If we had to complain about something regarding the AirPods Max, it would be the high price tag. This discount makes that a little more bearable, though. Go grab this deal while you can! Discounts on the Apple AirPods Max USB-C aren’t very common!
