This offer is available directly from Amazon. There is no sign of it being part of the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days event, but it happened during the same time. This makes us believe Apple just wanted to join the hype, and the price might go back to normal after October 9. The great news here is that since it’s not a Prime Big Deal Days discount, you need no Amazon Prime subscription!
The Apple AirPods Max with USB-C are nearly identical to the regular AirPods Max. The only differences are the different charging port and the fact that the USB-C version comes in more varied colors. New hues include Midnight, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Starlight.
Otherwise, the Apple AirPods Max with USB-C are the same fabulous headphones we already know and love. In fact, in our list of the best headphones, we mention they are the very best option for iPhone users. In our Apple AirPods Max review, we praise them for their great design and build quality. The clean and metallic look, iconic of Apple products, looks and feels great. They are also very comfortable.
The audio quality and ANC performance are outstanding; even the microphone surprised us. We also found battery life to be better than expected. While Apple says these should last 20 hours, we managed to get a bit over 21 hours during our testing period.
Of course, it’s best to pair these with Apple devices, as you’ll get some extra features. You’ll enjoy improved gestures, Siri support, auto-pausing, and multi-device functionality. Android and Windows users won’t get all of these. If you’re outside the Apple bubble, you’re better off finding something in our list of the best headphones.
We don’t know much about this deal’s nature, but it was launched along Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event, which ends tonight. You might want to act quickly if you want to secure this lower price. Tomorrow might be too late.
