Apple users should go for the AirPods Max
Apple is very particular about compatibility and features, so Apple loyalists, or at least anyone with more than one Apple product, should probably go for the AirPods Max. Not only do these follow the same design language, featuring a minimalist look with a metallic build, but they will also support more Apple features. These include Find My support, auto-pause, Siri access, and auto-device switching.
These are also amazing headphones, overall. Its transparency mode is also very good, as is spatial audio. Our tests also yielded about 21 hours of battery life.
Everyone else should go for the Sony WH-1000XM5
Those with no ties to Apple should opt for the Sony WH-1000XM5. These are, after all, our pick for the best headphones, overall. The audio quality is superb, as is the microphone. ANC performance is among the best, too.
These are high-end headphones, so you get plenty of great features. These include Find My Device support, a custom EQ, auto-pause, Bluetooth multipoint, and more. Battery life is also amazing, as our battery tests showed these can last around 32 hours with ANC on. And if you turn ANC off, the time gets extended to a stunning 53 hours.
