The Apple AirPods Max are nothing short of amazing. These high-end headphones compete only with the best in the industry, and the retail price is a testament to that. Actually, many of us would believe they are still pricey, even at such a significant discount! Regardless, they offer an excellent experience, and this discount softens the blow to your wallet.
In our Apple AirPods Max review, we praise these for their fantastic design and build quality. Much like other Apple products, these have a clean, minimalist look. They have a metal construction, too, which is a nice touch. We found them to be very comfortable, thanks to the large earpads and fabric band.
Design and build quality aside, these headphones are also outstanding in all other departments. The sound quality is excellent, and the ANC performance is among the best around. We also found battery life to be pretty good. While Apple’s estimations cite 20 hours, our tests actually surpassed these expectations, getting us a bit over 21 hours per charge.
The main reason we mostly recommend these to iPhone users is because they work best with Apple products. There are some exclusive features, such as Siri support, auto-pausing, and automatic device switching. These features won’t work with non-Apple products. It doesn’t help that this specific model uses Lightning to charge, but you’re saving a bunch if you can forego the USB-C port.
This is an excellent price for the Apple AirPods Max, and it’s very close to the record-low price, which is $394.99. And if you can take advantage of the My Best Buy discount, $379.99 is the lowest price we’ve seen these go for yet! Go get your pair before prices go back to normal.

While not as nicely made as Apple’s headphones, these also have a minimal, comfortable design that looks and feels pretty great. The padding is comfortable, and the larger cups fit very well, regardless of ear size.
The sound quality is impressive, and the ANC performance is really outstanding. Even the microphone is surprisingly good. These high-end headphones also come with great features like Bluetooth Multipoint, Find My Device support, a 3.5mm headset jack, touch gesture support, and more.
The battery life is also impressive. We ran these through our standardized tests and got 32 hours with ANC enabled. That’s not even the best part, though: you can get over 53 hours if you turn ANC off!
