Hot Apple audio deals: AirPods Max USB-C and HomePod Mini on sale
Published onMarch 6, 2025

We know plenty of our readers are Apple users, so today, we wanted to present you with a couple of great deals we came across. Both the Apple AirPods Max and Apple HomePod Mini are on sale today. So, whether you want to listen privately, or prefer rocking out with a speaker, today we have something for both types of listeners.
The Apple AirPods Max USB-C offer is available from Amazon. The discount applies to all color versions available: Midnight, Blue, Orange, Purple, Starlight, and Green. In the case of the Apple HomePod Mini deal, that one is being offered by Best Buy, and it’s only for the Blue model.
Apple AirPods Max USB-C

The Apple AirPods Max USB-C are starting to go on sale more often now, but usually not this low. The $479.99 price point makes these much more enticing for those looking for a good deal, especially if you don’t want to deal with Lightning cables any more.
The Apple AirPods Max are excellent headphones. In fact, in our list of the best headphones, we recommend them as the best option for Apple device users.
We love their clean, metallic design. These look and feel amazing, not to mention they are also very comfortable, mostly thanks to their soft earpads and fabric band.

Looks aside, the audio quality is also quite outstanding. These compete only against the best in the industry. Additionally, the ANC performance is just as impressive.
These are premium headphones, so you’ll get a really nice set of additional features. Most of these only work with Apple products, though. Exclusive capabilities include auto-pausing, certain gestures, automatic device switching, and Siri support. The last one is obvious, though, as only Apple products have Siri.
We ran these through our standardized tests and also found battery life to be pretty good, at about 21 hours per full charge. It’s among the very few headphones that surpass manufacturer estimates, which mention battery life is 20 hours.
Our only real complaint about these is that the price tag is very high, but this discount makes them a better buy.
Apple HomePod Mini

I live alone, and my neighbors are pretty far away, so I prefer getting a nice speaker instead of headphones. If you don’t want to overspend, the Apple HomePod Mini is an excellent option for those who prefer sticking with Apple products. Especially now that you can get it for $79.99, if you get the Blue model. That said, I actually really like this hue!
The thing about HomePod speakers is that they are almost never on sale, so this is a bit of a special occasion. Surprisingly, it’s also a really good speaker, especially considering its size. Though it’s tiny at 84.3 x 97.9 mm, it sounds better than my Nest Mini and my much bigger Amazon Echo 4th Generation.
It helps that it’s actually the best-looking smart speaker, at least in my opinion. The microphone works very well, and it has never failed to respond to my “Hey Siri” commands.

Another nice thing is that setting it up and using it is seamless, like every other Apple product. A notification will pop up the first time you plug it in. After a few taps, and waiting a bit for it to sync, you are ready to go! You can also easily use AirPlay from any Apple device.
Keep in mind that the Apple HomePod Mini isn’t just a speaker, though. This is a smart speaker! This means you can ask Siri for any information you need, reminders, timers, etc. Additionally, it works as an Apple HomeKit hub, so you can control your supported smart home devices, such as lights, switches, smart locks, and more.
It can also be used as an intercom to communicate with people in other rooms. The cool thing is that it can recognize voice and adapt to each person to create a personalized experience.
This is a really cool smart speaker, but again, it is very Apple-centric. Maybe don’t get it if you’re not invested in the Apple ecosystem.
We’re not sure how long these deals will last, so act quickly if you’re going to take advantage of either of these. Again, at least one of these deals is pretty rare, so you need to catch it while you can.
