The Apple AirPods 4 with ANC are pretty much the same as the AirPods 4, with one main exception. You guessed it: these come with active noise canceling. Neither will really win any awards, but the AirPods 4 with ANC may be the best mid-tier option for Apple users. They aren’t as expensive as the AirPods Pro 2, but they definitely beat the base AirPods 4.
All things considered, we were pretty happy with these earbuds. The new design offers a much more secure fit, compared to the third-gen AirPods, though this may vary depending on your ear size and shape. Regardless, these should fit most people better, as Apple made a special effort to make these fit more people, using thousands of ear scans and 50 million data points to optimize the shape.
The sound quality is decent, and the ANC performance is pretty nice, given that these earbuds have no tips. The open-ear design doesn’t help block sound.
It’s also really nice to see that the Apple AirPods 4 with ANC get all the cool Apple features. These include Siri support, automatic device switching, auto-pausing, stem-press controls, Find My support, and more. The inclusion of the H2 chip helps with support and performance.
If you’re looking to get a new set of earbuds and are invested in the Apple ecosystem, this is a good time to get the AirPods 4 with ANC. This deal has been working overtime, so we suspect it might disappear soon.
